About Us

In 1977 Arnold, Vivian, & Fulton purchased the Bay Vista. From then on it has been a family owned and operated business. As featured in Fodors, at Bay Vista it is the goal of our family to make your family feel welcome and relaxed during your stay with us. Over the years as the interests and individual needs of the traveling public have changed, we have maintained a comfortable family atmosphere while expanding our services.

While at the motel, if you need assistance in planning a day trip, Arnold, Co-Owner/Island historian/Tour Guide is the one to talk to. He started working at the Bay Vista at the young age of 18 and now over 30 years later he still loves to meet and talk to our guests. Whether cleaning the pool or weeding a flowerbed he is never too busy to answer your questions or tell one of his famous island tales; if looking for information, an interesting story or a recommendation on where to go and what to see Arnold is your guy. He can help you plan your adventure or find that road less traveled to experience the beauty and serene atmosphere that our island has to offer.

Staying Connected

It is also very important to us for Bay Vista to maintain its relaxed and serene environment. This is why we haven't put telephones in our guest rooms. We don't want you to feel cut off from the outside world, though. That's why we have installed satellite Internet in all of our rooms. There are both wired and wi-fi connections, so with your wi-fi equipped laptop you can access the Internet from poolside just as easily as in your room. If you didn't bring a laptop, we also have an Internet-ready computer in our office.

Location

The Bay Vista is located on Route 6 in the Cavendish Resort Area, less than three miles from the Cavendish intersection. Despite being close to attractions and beaches of Cavendish, we are in a peaceful, country setting. Prince Edward Island's two cities, Charlottetown and Summerside, are less than 50 kilometers away.
